Strategy
Our approach
Our experience with the American and wider international markets, and how they approach storytelling, played an important role.
UX/UI Design
The branding was fixed. The logo and base colors stayed exactly as they were, and for the branded web design we partnered with the team at KOLOS. We built moodboards to get a clearer picture of the client’s preferences, then rolled out several design directions before development began.
Development
We chose WordPress as the CMS, since the previous website was already built on it. That kept the platform familiar to the client and to the people who maintain the site.
The site is as modular as Spantech themselves: every page has access to the full set of building blocks and components. Landing pages, blog posts, articles, and service pages can all be added, adjusted, or removed by the client through a visual interface.
Migration
The existing Spantech website was already built in WordPress, which eased the migration. It still took real care, though, because the site runs in four languages. Every URL needed its correct redirect, hreflang, and canonical tags, and each translation had to keep its “translated post” relationship intact to preserve the site structure.
Maintenance & Support
After launching the new website, we consulted on and migrated two of their other sites onto the same hosting. Bundling everything on one package brought their overall hosting costs down significantly.
