The PJAX page transition
If you take a closer look at the website, you’ll notice than when you navigate through the pages the page itself actually never refreshes. You animate quickly to the next page, but the browser doesn’t need to fetch all of the data again.
This is called PJAX. It preloads only the content of the next page and replaces that part with the html. Because of this technique, the page does not refresh, still doesn’t load the entire website on first-load.
To recreate this effect, there are more modern libraries available currently – like barbajs – that will take care of this effect much easier.
